BOK Financial Corporation (NASDAQBOKF), based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a financial services company in the West South Central States region of the United States. The corporate headquarters is located in the BOK Tower in downtown Tulsa. The company has seven main bank subsidiaries: Bank of Oklahoma, N.A.; Bank of Texas, N.A.; Bank of Albuquerque, N.A.; Bank of Arkansas, N.A.; Colorado State Bank and Trust, N.A.; Bank of Arizona, N.A.; and the recently acquired Bank of Kansas City, N.A. .

BOKF has a market value of approximately $3.2 billion USD as of the Q3 2006. [2]

BOK was formed in 1991. At its founding it had $2 billion in assets and operated 20 locations only in Oklahoma. [3]

Under the leadership of George Kaiser, BOK began an aggressive expansion effort. BOK's expanison strategy is to locate in growing markets near Oklahoma [4]. Currently BOK operates in 9 states Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Utah. In March 2007 BOK began operations in Salt Lake City. [5] Also in 2007 BOK continued their aggressive push in expanding market share in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Currently the Bank of Texas is the 8th largest bank based in Texas with assets of 3.7 billion. [6]

In 2005 BOK Financial acquired the naming rights for the BOK Center, for a price of $11 Million USD.[7]
